Shot Types

Shot Types Image Once you've chosen where to strike the ball, hold the A Button and move the Wii Remote forward to take your shot. Use a fast strike for strong shots and a slow strike for soft shots.

* It's also possible to take shots using only the buttons.

Taking Shots

1.Break shot The location differs depending on the type of competition, but the cue ball location can be changed using the Pointer. Once you've chosen the cue ball location, press the A Button to confirm.

2.Aim for the object balls! The point of view will change to focus on the first object ball you'll be going after. You can press the B Button here to change the location of the cue ball if you want.
* Cue ball location can only be changed before a break shot or after a player foul.

3.Choose a direction to strike the cue ball!

3.Choose a direction to strike the cue ball! Push the A Button to change the direction to strike the ball. Aim by pushing the +Control Pad right or left. Press the A Button once you've chosen the direction. Moving the +Control Pad up or down will make slight changes to your viewpoint. Also, the 1 Button changes the camera angle.

4.Choose the point at which you'll strike the cue ball! First decide where you want to strike the cue ball. Move the Pointer to the location on the cue ball you'd like to strike and push the A Button. Hitting the top of the ball creates top spin. Hitting the bottom of the ball creates back spin. Hitting the right and left sides will change the rebound direction when taking a cushion shot.

5.OK, here comes the shot! Press the A Button and simultaneously pull the Wii Remote back slightly before thrusting it forward. The strength of your shot will change depending on the speed, so use a light strike if you want to make a soft shot.

Using too powerful a strike can result in injury, so exercise caution.
It doesn’t take that strong of a motion to create a strike with more than enough power.
