Explanation of Game Rules

9 Ball

9 Ball In 9 Ball, only the balls numbered from 1 to 9 are on the table. Players must pocket them in order, starting with the 1ball. Whoever pockets the 9 ball wins.

Rotation

Rotation In Rotation, all 15 numbered balls are on the table.
As with 9 Ball, players must pocket them in order, starting with the 1 ball. Players get points as they pocket balls, based on the number on each ball. Whoever reaches a preset number of points first wins.

8 Ball

8 Ball In 8 Ball, all 15 numbered balls are on the table.
Players must pocket either the solid-colored balls, numbered 1-7, or the striped balls, numbered 9-15, and must then finish by calling the shot and pocketing the 8 ball. Pocketing the 8 ball before Pocketing all solids or all stripes is an automatic loss.

Snooker

Snooker Snooker is a competive game that's more challenging than regular billiards. Competitions are carried out on a larger table than usual, with smaller pockets and object balls. Fifteen red balls and six balls of differing color are used as object balls. Pocketed red balls count for one point, with other balls worth different values depending upon color. The winner is whoever has the highest number of points when all object balls have been pocketed. An important strategy to keep in mind is to make it so that your opponents have a hard time getting to the ball they're after.
